federal impact aid coming October 26 please complete and return by October 30 graphic with kid pointing and smiling

Every day, Killeen ISD students benefit from teachers, programs, services, and resources designed to help them grow and succeed.

For a district like Killeen ISD, federal Impact Aid funding helps support that work by providing resources to school districts that serve federally connected students and families. These dollars become part of the funding KISD uses to support students and schools across the district.

And families play an important role in helping KISD receive the funding for which it is eligible.

Each year, the district must document the federally connected students and families it serves. The more complete and accurate that information is, the better KISD can ensure it receives the federal funding available to support our schools.

A paper form will be sent home with students on Monday, Oct. 26. Families are asked to complete, sign, and return the form as soon as possible.

Your response may count if you are federally connected, including active-duty military families, or if you are a civilian who works on Fort Hood or another eligible federal property, such as the VA in Temple.

Even if you are unsure whether your family qualifies, please review the form and complete the information requested. Every returned form helps KISD build the most accurate picture possible of the students and families we serve.

Completing the survey only takes a few minutes, but its impact can extend much further. By returning the form, families help KISD secure important federal resources that support students throughout the district.

Please watch for the Impact Aid form in your student’s backpack on Oct. 26 and return it to your student’s school by Oct. 30.
